The Problem:  Air Product & Chemicals Inc. wanted to reduce the high cost of site installations.

COBEY's Solution: Working with the compressor manufacturer, COBEY designed a single working level platform (or mezzanine) that encompassed two compressors. By designing this platform simultaneously with the compressor skid, auxiliary lube oil console, and interconnecting piping, interference and maintenance issues were addressed upfront rather than in the field. Also, the design of the platform used a universal support leg design so that any leg could be placed at any support location. The platform was completely assembled prior to shipment to ensure fit and function. The end result was an estimated 1 million dollar savings for the project.
