| ISO 10438 2007 (API 614 Standard) has arrived |

The 5th edition of API 614, now known primarily as ISO 10438:2007, has been published. Cobey’s Vice president, Bob Castle, has been part of the API task force responsible for writing the last two edition of this standard. Cobey has completed an internal review of the newly released edition and is ready to start producing ISO 10438 compliant lubrication, shaft-sealing and oil-control systems and auxiliaries.
The new standard will also govern the oil system requirements for other products, such as API 610 (ISO 13709) centrifugal pumps, API 611 steam turbines, and API 618 (ISO 13707) reciprocating compressors. Cobey is already in the process of developing standard ISO 10438 part 3 compliant oil systems to serve these industries.
